Lens connectors from Amphenol Precision Optics use a spherical lens to expand the light beam many times its diameter. This technology makes the connector highly resistant to dust, dirt, vibration and other adverse environmental conditions. Because the lenses do not touch, the connector has a very long life of at least 3,000 mating cycles.

EUROLENS fiber optic lens connectors comply with military standard MIL-DTL-83526-20/21. This makes them mechanically and optically compatible with corresponding connectors from other manufacturers. They feature the high-precision alignment technology and superior, low-loss optical performance required for high-speed fiber optic communications.

EUROLENS connectors are available in 2-, 4-, 8-, and 12-channel versions and offer unique advantages, such as mutual compatibility. For instance, a 12-channel connector can easily connect to an existing 2-channel system. Additionally, the EUROLENS lens connector is available in a one-channel version.

In addition to the standard hard anodized aluminum version, all connectors and bulkhead variants are available in marine bronze and stainless steel.

The connectors in the euMicron series are among the smallest expanded beam connectors available on the market. They are available as 2- and 4-channel in single- and multimode versions and offer the same robustness against external influences as the larger variants of the EUROLENS series.
