By turning, Amphenol Precision Optics processes bar material from 3 mm to 40 mm in diameter. For example, turned parts are manufactured with tolerances of up to 1 µm with a bore diameter of 0.128 mm and a cylindrical length of up to 1.5 mm.

The precision parts are preferably used in vacuum technology and in medical areas such as laser technology. Amphenol Precision Optics uses special machines of the brands Benzinger and Star - which are developed in cooperation and constantly optimized. In addition to the performance of the machines, the environment is a decisive factor. Many machines, for example, have additional room and oil air conditioning. Finally, an industrial washing plant ensures a clean result.
