Amphenol Precision Optics GmbH is one of the leading manufacturers of connection technology components for fiber optics in Europe and is one of the leading providers in Europe. Founded in 1972 as EUROMICRON Werkzeuge GmbH, the well-established company produces most of its components in Germany and is one the most important producers for fiber optic component manufacturers that stands for high-quality product range “Made in Germany.”
Amphenol Precision Optics produces annually around four million connectors and adapters, including all conventional fiber optic connectors. Development and production are particularly focused on components suitable for harsh environments, as they are typical e.g. in mobile radio and TV stations, power plants, chemical and mining industries or the military sector.
Another focus based on mechanical precision bores performed according to customer's requirements, as in bore grids for guiding optical fibers, so-called fiber arrays. Amphenol Precision Optics also supplies all fiber optic connectors in modified versions, as for example medical applications.
